Mother's Day in Russia 2026: A Flower Guide for 29 November

In Russia, Mother's Day (День матери) is celebrated on the last Sunday of November — in 2026 that is 29 November. Because it's a different date from Mother's Day in Turkey, the UK or Germany, it's easy to miss if your mother, mother-in-law or a close friend lives in Russia. Here's what to send, when, and how.

Watch out in 2026: 29 November is a Sunday

Our local florists in Russia don't deliver on Sundays. If you want the flowers there for the day itself, choose Saturday 28 November as the delivery date. Flowers arriving the day before aren't seen as odd in Russia — they're part of getting ready for the celebration. Orders placed before 12:00 noon Turkey time (also 12:00 Moscow time) are delivered the same day, but for this busy week we recommend ordering a few days ahead.

Which flowers for a Russian mum?

• Roses — the classic choice. Pink and white roses say tenderness; red roses say deep love.
• Chrysanthemums — in Russia, unlike in France, they're a cheerful autumn favourite and among the freshest flowers in November.
• A seasonal bouquet — bright and colourful, it suits almost every mother.
• A potted plant — for a gift that lasts.

How many stems?

In Russia, flowers for happy occasions are given in odd numbers: 3, 5, 7, 9, 11… Even numbers (2, 4, 6, 12) are reserved for funerals and memorials — never send an even number of roses to your mother. Arranged bouquets aren't counted stem by stem, but loose roses always are.

The card message

You can write your message in Russian — it will be printed exactly as you type it. A short, warm example: «С Днём матери! Люблю тебя» (Happy Mother's Day! I love you).

How to order

1. Choose Russia as the delivery country — prices will be shown in roubles.
2. Pick a bouquet and set the delivery date to Saturday 28 November.
3. Enter the recipient's name, full address and phone number. A Russian address needs the city, street, building (дом) and flat number, plus the entrance (подъезд) and floor if there is one.
4. Pay by card with 3D Secure.

The bouquet is made and hand-delivered by our local florist in Russia — it isn't shipped. For Mother's Day dates in every country, see Mother's Day dates around the world. All products: send flowers to Russia.
