Mother's Day in Turkey 2027: Date, Sunday Delivery and Flowers for Mum

In Turkey, Mother's Day (Anneler Günü) is celebrated on the second Sunday of May:

• 2026: 10 May (passed)
• 2027: Sunday 9 May
• 2028: Sunday 14 May

It's the same day as in Germany and the US, but not Russia (last Sunday of November). Other countries: Mother's Day dates around the world.

No Sunday delivery: when should the flowers arrive?

Mother's Day falls on a Sunday and our florists are closed on Sundays, so Sunday can't be selected in the calendar. The best choice is Saturday (8 May in 2027) — your mum gets to enjoy the flowers all weekend. Monday works too, but can feel a little late.

Mother's Day week is the busiest week of the year for florists, so order a few days ahead. Orders placed before 12:00 noon Turkey time are delivered the same day, but early is safest that week.

Which flowers for mum?

• Pink and white roses — love and gratitude; the most popular colours for mothers. Roses
• Seasonal flowers — bright and cheerful, and at their freshest in May. Seasonal flowers
• A potted plant — lasts for weeks in her home. Potted plants
• An arrangement in a vase — ready to put on the table. Arrangements

What to write on the card (in Turkish)

• "Anneler Günün kutlu olsun anneciğim, iyi ki varsın." — Happy Mother's Day, mum, I'm so glad you're here.
• "Her şey için teşekkür ederim anne. Seni çok seviyorum." — Thank you for everything, mum. I love you so much.
• "Uzakta olsam da kalbim hep yanında." — Even though I'm far away, my heart is always with you.
